Lesson two:
With your leash UNATTACHED to your dog, practice running with your leash in your hand. Learn to run smoothly and to keep your hand steady without letting that snap bounce up and down. Your neighbors may think you are crazy but you will be sending a clear message to your dog. You wouldn't be jerking on your reins were you riding a horse, don't bounce your lead around while showing your dog.Great video about the types of leashes and collars used for handling dogs. For specifics on your breed, ask your breeder! They SHOULD be a wealth of information to help you get started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCOk1nbMMQI
